For 25 years, Counterpoint Dance Academy Marda Loop has been proud to call the vibrant Marda Loop community home.
Our journey began in September 2000 with just 30 students in a rented dance room at a local school. In 2002, we opened our first dedicated location, and over the years, our growing dance family expanded across three locations. In 2016, a dream became reality when our beautiful home at Garrison Corner was built, bringing our entire studio community together under one roof.
Today, CPML is so much more than a dance studio. We are a diverse, family-focused community where dancers are professionally trained across a vibrant range of disciplines, challenged to grow while supported in a fun, nurturing environment.
At the heart of everything we do are three simple values: DANCE. FAMILY. COMMUNITY.
Our Fabulous Faculty are committed to developing strong technical dancers while helping young artists build the life skills that extend far beyond the studio — discipline, focus, work ethic, compassion, confidence and a genuine sense of community.
As we celebrate 25 years Dancing In The Loop, we are filled with gratitude for the dancers, families, instructors and the Marda Loop community who have been part of our journey. We are beyond thankful for the friendships, memories, growth and countless moments that have made CPML what it is today.

OUR PROGRAMMING
We offer Non-Intensive and Intensive options. Our Non-Intensive programs provide the flexibility of attending limited classes per week while receiving exceptional instruction. Our Intensive programs require commitment to a schedule that provides progressive and challenging classes cultivating highly technical and emotive dancers.
Our Intensive dancers have the opportunity to join our competitive program, The Marda Loop Dance Team (MLDT) , which further develops their abilities and nurtures dancing at their highest potential. We treasure our entire dance family, from our preschoolers to our Grade 12 graduates, and it is an honor to watch them grow into exceptional individuals. Our love of dance is the founding principle upon which our studio has been built and it is our personal investment in our dancers that has nurtured a community oriented, quality driven, professional and engaging dance studio.
